1/19/08 ~ Turner Wins Another Championship in ASRL Cup
As the 2008 winter season came to a close it was a tight battle between Turner and Keith McClain for the top spot in the championship. Turner held off a hard charging McClain in the 23 race season by claiming 3 wins, 18 top fives, and 21 top tens. Turner had only one race that was out of the top five in the 9 race chase. This is the second consecutive winter season championship in the series for Turner, and well deserved.

With the up-coming release of the ASR sim the Ultra Motorsports team is slowly preparing cars. The paint and body shops are hard at work and hope to have all the new cars complete in time for testing. Although there has been no official word as to when a season may start, or how it will be formatted, the team is planning on taking their time as they get use to the new cars. The hopes are that a full season will not officially start until 2009 as this will give all teams time to prepare properly.

Delk held the lead most of the season with Perry grabbing it for a short time before having bad luck at Lowes late in the season. It was a great season for the team as a whole as Delk and Perry finished 1 - 2, and Turner finishing 4th after a slow start. This is the second consecutive championship in the series for Delk, and well deserved.

2/1/08 ~ Ultra Motorsports Has a Coke and a Smile at Coca~Cola
The Ultra Motorsports drivers Turner and Perry made a rare appearance for a Super Speedway event at the Coca-Cola Speedway race. Both started in the back and took their time working through the field. After the green flag pits stops were over they had a commanding 10 sec lead and cruise to a 1 - 2 finish.

2/1/08 ~ Trouble in Paradise at Tarheel???
While competing in the truck race at the Tarheel Speedway, something strange and unusual happened. The trucks of Turner and Perry made contact only a few laps from the end of the race while running 1 -2. Leading up to the contact Turner and Perry had just pitted and when it all cycled through they were leading with under ten to go with Turner in the top spot. There was concern in Turners pits as to whether he got enough gas to go the distance.

With the third place car close behind both drivers decided to swap positions in hopes of allowing Turner to make it. As Perry moved to the outside to make the pass contact was made sending Perry sliding to the inside and Turner to the outside causing heavy damage to both trucks and ending their nights. At first it appeared as if it was Perry's fault, but after viewing the replay it became evident that Turner had moved up the track into the side of Perry causing the incident. After the race reporters thought there would be trouble brewing in paradise, but they were surprised to find both Turner & Perry laughing about the incident even though they know they gave one away and are leaving with two badly damaged trucks.
